Heartbeat United Success

By Jack Taylor

The Heartbeat United Football Marathon was a great success on Bank Holiday Monday at Culver Road!

On Monday 27th May world-record holders, Heartbeat United, played 6 consecutive matches at Culver Road, to raise money for Coastal West Sussex Mind.

We were pleased to be able to support the marathon event, whilst some of our teams played against the world record-holders.

Final scores:

  • Heartbeat 1 - 4 Lancing Under-19s
  • Heartbeat 4 - 6 Sussex FA
  • Heartbeat 3 - 7 Village Disability
  • Heartbeat 1 - 11 Lancing Disability
  • Heartbeat 4 - 8 Ryan Chapman XI
  • Heartbeat 6 - 7 Lancing Veterans

It was fantastic to see our brand new Disability team in action, putting the most goals past Heartbeat out of all of the teams on the day, as well as our Veterans team, playing their first ever game for the club! Over £1,500 has so far been raised, with more being counted & donated as we speak.

Thank-you to every that supported Heartbeat on the day, raising money for a great cause, and very relevant to our 'You're Not In This Alone' campaign, supporting mental heath in West Sussex.

View the photo gallery from the day here. More photos will be available from Kyle Hemsley in the next week.

Well done to all involved!

You can still donate to Heartbeat United's Just Giving page here.
